Most people expect Pinot Grigio to hail from the North of Italy, Veneto to be exact. Veneto is a cool climate area which means the Pinot from that region is really crisp, dry and herbaceous. 

Sicily has a much warmer climate. I always say the grapes there are happier so they produce creamier more aromatic characteristics. You will enjoy this wine if you have a tendency to enjoy Semillion Savignon Blanc. Its a lot softer compared to the veneto style Pinot Grigios and goes remarkably well with a range of foods.
