QUATTRONOTTI is a special Negroamaro appassimento, whose grapes were unusually harvested at night. The grapes of this vineyard had reached the maximum wilting point. To avoid damaging grapes, farmers didn’t harvest them mechanically in the afternoon as usual. Grapes were carefully harvested by hand at night, in order to avoid further exposure to sunlight. The name QUATTRONOTTI is in memory of the 4 nights that farmers spent to harvest the grapes by hand.
The dry heat of Southern Italy results in an awesome ripening of Negramaro grapes that develop richly spiced black fruits with a firm structure and a lick of freshness. Intense and complex with notes of extra ripe fruits, vanilla and spices. Very elegant and velvety wine, round, with a full and harmonious taste. Good to serve with meat, seasoned cheeses, as meal closure, with typical Apulian pastries.
